What is a bounce house?
Bounce houses, Fun Jumps, inflatable castles, moon bounces, inflatable slides and jumpy castles are all large-scale inflatable houses made for interactive entertainment. Commonly intended for children, bounces houses are made of PVC or other durable materials such as nylon or vinyl that when look like a house or castle when inflated. Bouncing Buddies deliver bounce houses to birthday parties, festivals, fairs and other events. Our bounce houses have industrial-grade blowers that fill the large structures with air to make them bounceable. A common size for a bounce house might be 15 feet by 15 feet by 13 feet. Bounce houses often have a flat, inflatable bottom pad and inflatable walls so that kids can jump and bounce without being hurt, along with a netting door and windows so that kids can see out and adults can see in. Bounce houses are suitable for both indoor or outdoor events, depending on the venue. For large events, Bouncing Buddies often have a staff member who stays with the structure to monitor safety and keep it properly inflated. There are also wet/dry bounce houses with slides that you can hook up to a hose on hot summer days. Are bounce housed safe?
Bounce houses can be safe if operators and parents take proper precautions. Before renting from a company, confirm they are a legitimate company and hold any licenses and insurance required by your state. Ask to see reports of bounce house safety inspections provided by third parties, to make sure the equipment is in good operating condition to prevent injuries. If the rental company does not provide a staff member to oversee the bounce house for the duration of the rental, make sure you are properly trained on how to oversee the equipment. Do you deliver & setup?
Bouncing Buddies will provide polite and experienced drivers who will deliver the equipment to your location. They will arrive prior to the start of your event to ensure equipment is clean and in good working condition. Bouncing Buddies Staff will set up items for you and have them ready to go at your event start time, operate items (if that is part of agreement), and tear down at the end of the rental period. This service is included in the rental cost.
What kind of power is required to run your equipment?
Our equipment plugs into a regular wall outlet and will draw 10 amps per outlet used. We will supply you with a 75 ft extension cord per item rented and ask that you designate that outlet strictly for our equipment. If you do not have an electrical outlet available we can provide you with a generator to serve as your power source at an extra rental cost. Some pieces of equipment call for more than one power outlet. Please refer to the equipment descriptions on the website or ask your Bouncing Buddies Representative for details.
Can your items be setup on the pavement or a hard surface?
If you do not have a grassy area available we can definitely setup on pavement, black tops, asphalt or any other hard surface. You will need to specify when you place your order that you will not be setting up on grass so we can add Underliners & Weight Bags to your contract to ensure proper anchor of equipment at time of setup.
Can I have my party at a park?
Yes you can! Some parks require you to make a reservation with them directly and/or obtain a permit, so make sure you check that out. They may require to be named as additionally insured on our policy for that day. That is no problem; just ask your Bouncing Buddies Representative what information they need. Also, make sure to check and see if electricity will be available within 75ft, if not we can provide a generator at an additional charge.
Are you insured?
YES!! We are fully licensed & insured. If Bouncing Buddies is not providing operators for the equipment you are required to sign a liability rental agreement waiver prior to setup of equipment. A copy of our insurance certificate can be faxed or mailed to you at your request.
Do I have to pay a deposit to reserve your equipment?
We require a 25-50% deposit to hold your date and the items you are requesting. This is due prior to date of event along with a signature on a contract. This deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to a future event if cancelled within an appropriate time frame (see cancellation policy). We will accept a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover), check or money order as form of payment.
Can you setup equipment in the rain?
Equipment & rides can not be setup and/or operated in a steady rain or high winds. Bouncing Buddies site supervisor reserves the right to shut down operation if those conditions occur during the event. We will make every effort to wait out bad weather, but the safety of your patrons is our number one priority.
